Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav : Plantation Drive

For celebrating ” Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav “, National Highway Authority of India had organised a plantation drive in which 1.25 lakh trees were planted in 114 identified locations. The authorities of NHAI, NH PWD, individuals from Green Foundation, Alumni Association of LIT participated in the occasion to celebrate 75 years completion of independence of India.

NHAI Territorial Workplaces have distinguished 100 destinations for the plantations that are situated along the National Highways, at NHAI land parcels and Toll Plazas. Delhi government launched 15-day mega plantation drive ‘Van Mahotsav’

The Delhi government had also launched a 15-day mega plantation drive ‘ Van Mahotsav ‘,  started by Environment Minister Gopal Rai on July 25 at Asola Bhatti Mines by planting more than 1 lakh plants. The government planned to plant 35 lakh saplings in the 2022 financial year.

MCD targets planting 85,000 saplings through plantation drive
